Will there be any scars after gynecomastia surgery?
Since gynecomastia surgeries vary according to the severity of patient’s problem, the doctor who made patient’s surgery plan can give the best answer. But roughly, if only liposuction surgery is performed, patient will not have any scars other than the incisions on patient’s 0.5 cm breast fold line. If patient have an operation that requires surgical removal of breast tissue, a scar remains in the lower half of the ring around the nipple. However, if patient is going to have surgery for sagging, then patient will have scars at an increasing rate according to the level of sagging.
